Coming up in Croatia’s capital, Advent in the Heart of Zagreb is an array of holiday events orchestrated to create an unforgettable Christmas experience for visitors to the city starting November 28th.
A program of musical and artistic programmes all over the city, and key events in the main square will include; children’s performances, cultural, art and music events, as well as a wide variety of Christmas and seasonally themed concerts. At the Advent House visitors will be offered homemade food and drinks, as well as daily musical treats from great local performers. accompanied by a daily music program. Advent is part of the liturgical year marked by preparations for the celebration of Christmas. In Western Christian churches Advent starts four Sundays before Christmas and ends on December 24, on Christmas Eve. The Advent fest ends January 10th, 2016, but the rich experience of Zagreb during the Christmas season will be something visitors can take home to keep forever.
