Eurostar passengers will be able to look forward to a host of Valentine’s Day surprises this February 14, as the high-speed passenger train that links the UK to the continent tempts couples on a romantic getaway with its new “love” themed tickets.
For one day only, couples that take advantage of the offer will be treated to exclusive upgrades that include cozy seating for two, mini bottles of Cava and a selection of chocolates. In addition, couples will be able to have their photos taken for free in Eurostar’s “love” photo booths, situated in the departure lounges at London St. Pancras, Brussels Midi and Paris Gare du Nord stations, taking away a small memento to help them remember their special romantic trip.
Passengers heading for a romantic weekend in Paris, Brussels or beyond will also be able to take part in a special “love” themed competition held at London St. Pancras station, with the chance to win one of five weekend city breaks.
Eurostar’s Director of Communications, Mary Walsh, said that Valentine’s Day weekend was always a special occasion on the Eurostar:
“Each year, we see a jump in Valentines bookings as couples across the country fall for the romantic pull of Paris,” says Walsh.
“Our on-board crews have seen their fair share of marriage proposals and with all these romantic activities across our stations this Valentine’s Day, this year will be no exception.”
