Eastern Europe is cradle for some of the most beautiful women on earth, and in this case, in the Universe – or at least, they hope to be. If one of them is crowned Miss Universe this year, the people of Eastern Europe will have a lot to celebrate. These are the Eastern European ambassadors of beauty at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant.

From Slovenia, Ema Jagodic is 21 and comes from Ljubljana.
Miss Turkey is Melisa Asli Pamuk, age 20, from Istanbul.
Last, but not least, Miss Ukraine, Olesia Stefanko, is 23 and comes from Odessa.
