Rating some 140 countries according to their relative “attractiveness”, the Travel and Tourism report shows the competitive ranking of the best and worst places to travel in the world. Where Baltic states are concerned it is interesting to note Latvia is 48th on the list, with Estonia is ranked 30th and Lithuania is in 49th position.

According to the criteria, tourism infrastructure and facilities, business travel appeal, sustainable development of natural resources and rich cultural resources are some of the key factors examined in determining a country’s overall and individual scores.
