Cobalt Air has confirmed that it will operate flights in between  Dublin Airport and Larnaca, Cyprus, as part of its 2017/18 Winter schedule. The Cypriot airline ran direct flights for the last couple of years, and the success of the route has spurred year-round flights.

The flights are scheduled to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout Winter. Departures from Dublin board at 12.55pm and Larnaca at 8.10pm. Cobalt has published one-way fares from €88 each-way on its website, cobalt.aero. The airline also charges €15 for 15kg checked bags on 4+ hour flights.

Cobalt Air will fly an Airbus A320, with business class available from November. A spokesperson for the airline had this to add:

“We are pleased to launch Dublin for Winter 2017 continuing our commitment to the Irish market which has flocked to Cyprus in record number this summer.”

Dublin Airport’s Managing Director, Vincent Harrison added a note, saying; “Cyprus is a very popular destination for Irish holidaymakers seeking a sunshine break.” Cobalt Air also offers flights from Larnaca to Birmingham for as little as €74 euro one way.

The Cypriot airline just celebrated its 1 yr. anniversary back in July. With a fleet of six aircrafts and many new popular destinations to its flight schedule, Cobalt aims to turn Cyprus into a major regional air hub.
