DER Touristik Travel Calls 2019 the “Year of Greece”

The islands of Crete, Kos, Rhodes, and Samos have been set as top destinations for DER Touristik clients for 2019, according to the company’s CEO of Central Europe, René Herzog. According to the news, 2019 will be the “Year of Greece.”

The news from Frankfurt-based DER Touristik travel company tells of the REWE Group member company that represents operators Dertour, Meier’s Weltreisen and ADAC Reisen, as well as package tour operators ITS, Jahn Reisen, Travelix and clevertours having big plans for Greece next season.

German travel magazine Touristik Aktuell carried an interview recently withHerzog, who explained that Greece will be a favored destination because of its value-for-money summer holiday options, and the country’s stable weather. 

DER Touristik is a market leader in German-speaking countries with around 2,100 own and cooperating travel agencies, online platform DER.COM, FCm Travel Solutions, hotel brands and destination agencies. The company also operates 14 family hotels and 43 adult-only facilities, which account for 15 percent of the company’s total of 282.
