The Rundetaarn, or Round Tower, is the oldest working observatory in Europe. Inside, you can also stand on a floating glass floor that lets you look down 80 feet into the core of the tower.

The National Museum of Denmarkhas displays covering all of Danish history from the Stone Age to modern times. The museum is in the Prince’s Palace, built in the 1700s for Crown Prince Frederik V and the Crown Princess Louise, and the elegant interior looks fit for royalty.   A highlight of the extensive collection is the Viking exhibition, with the world’s biggest authentic Viking ship, about 120 feet long, and other Viking artifacts as well.
