Crimea Cruise Excursions Crank Up for Summer

According to news from Simferopol, offshore cruises have begun off Crimea for a tourist season officials expect will see 6 million visitors to the peninsula. The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Bezsalov, advised the Crimea holiday season launch on May 1.

The small cruise ship “Koktebel” is but one such vessel headed from Yalta to the world famous “Swallow’s Nest”, Bezsalov told reporters. Three such ships will cruise in between Crimea ports from mid-May through the Fall.
These Soviet era excursion ships can ferry up to 250 passengers along the coast of Crimea past secluded spots less accessible by land. Crimea, which rejoined Russia in 2014.
