Crete Region Announced Prohibition of Traffic in NATURA Areas

The Region of Crete has announced a a two-day preventive ban on the travel through, camping, or movement of persons or vehicles NATURA areas, as well as in forest ecosystems, parks and groves, according to the provisions of Law 998/1979 at the level of the Region of Crete.

The implementation of the 24-hour ban on vehicle traffic and excursionists (from 00:00 to 24:00) is for Monday 04-29-2024 and Tuesday 04-30-2024 in the forest ecosystems of high protection located in areas of high risk for the occurrence of forest fires (vulnerable areas), of the Region of Crete.
