Apparently it can, but you’ll have to know where to go. Al Capone’s former beachfront hideout on Ocean Drive is a good place to start today the Ramada Inn on 101 N Ocean Dr., Hollywood; followed by other top haunted spots of Miami, like the City of Miami Cemetery; Casa Casuarina on 1116 Ocean Dr., the murder scene ofGianni Versace; the haunted Jockey Club on 11111 Biscayne Blvd.; the oldest bed-and-breakfast in the city, Miami River Inn on 118 SW South River Dr.; Colony Theater on 1040 Lincoln Rd.; Coral Castle on 28655 S Dixie Hwy., Homestead; the Fontainebleau Resort Miami Beach on 4441 Collins Avenue; and finally the Biltmore Hotel on 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables.

But the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority has even more recommendations for tourists, including Miami’s scariest pub crawl on Saturday October 27th. That’s when you can roam the streets looking for the scariest she-demon, or preparing for strange encounters with blood-thirsty vampires… Some of the well known clubs hosting parties for Halloween include Mansion, SET and Mokai.

But that’s not it. Imagine that Miami Beach even features a Halloween themed marathon, where participants race 13.1 miles decked out in full Halloween costumes. It’s not only a running competition, but also a costume contest, with categories like Superhero, Villain, Scary, Funny, Underwear, and others.

We all know that Halloween is a favorite kids’ holiday. Miami Beach will not disappoint them either. The Little Farm in Homestead welcomes little Halloween buffs, from early October through Halloween night, with pumpkin patch, one free pony ride for each pumpkin purchased, a petting farm, scarecrow kits and harvest decorations.
