Coming up next week Saturday, June 29, 2019, from 8 PM until 11:30 PM, Rethymno European Wine City and Wines of Crete will host a Cretan wine tasting at Fortezza on the harbor in old town Rethymno.
Co-sponsored by the Region of Crete, the tasting event will feature old and new vintages of indigenous varieties produced by Cretan wineries. Visitors will have the chance to experience many of the island’s finest wines and to meet the winemakers who are making Crete’s wine production the envy of southern Europe. Last year more than 800 wine lovers celebrated on a magical night under the stars with Cretan wine from 23 wineries last year. This year organizers expect an even bigger turnout at a Summer wine tasting Saturday.
This year’s event will feature live music by Dimitris Katakouzinos and Nelly Vavassi, as well as . Entrance for the event is 7€, which includes your wine tasting glass.
