From all of us at Argophila, to all of you we report for, Merry Christmas. This year, and in the new year to come, our hope is for you and the world. May all the dreams of a lifetime come true worldwide. This is a big wish, yes, but not a sincere one from all our staff and collaborators.

We offer the images below from our partners at Fotolia USA as part of this Christmas wish.

Slovenia

Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, shows off its Christmas spirit below. The city, known as being at the crossroads of the crossroads of the Slavic world and with both Germanic and Latin cultural influences, is a little gem not so many have seen.

Bucharest, Romania

Merry Christmas from Bucharest, home of Europe’s biggest Christmas tree. Called the “Paris of the East” this city has had a colorful and eventful past. From Wallachian prince Vlad III, to today’s economic center of Romania’s cultural and economic activity, Bucharest is a place of diversity and historic (legend too) wonderment. The image below attests to not only Romania’s pride, but the spirit of Christmas there too.
