Coming to Sochi ski resort Rosa Kutor March 30th to April 2nd, the second annual Russian alpine ski insanity BoogelWoogel welcomes 20,000 or more swimsuit-clad ski nuts.

20,000 fans of the snow holidays and ski eccentricities will gather at the Olympic ski resort Rosa Khutor a carnival like no other, a skiing and snowboarding effort to set another Guinness record for biggest downhill throng ever.

This year carnival participants and onlookers can take part in a wider array of events at 10 festival venues. Besides the traditional ski jumping and snowboarding into a swimming pool, the street food festival of colors Holi and musical concerts in the program of the carnival will include: “Snow Battle” – the battle of professional dancers, a professional tournament in beach volleyball in the snow, and the Constructors Championship BoogelWoogel – a descent from the mountains to the assembled members with “fireballs.”

This year’s format will more closely approximate an Olympics, including at least a dozen unusual sports. For the evenings organizers have scheduled ceremonial presentations of special awards, open-air concerts of stars as well as the hottest parties. And, to make event even more memorable, tournaments will be held to determine once-amnd-for-all “Which are cooler: Skiers or Snowboarders?”

In 2016 the festival welcomed than 10 000 visitors. This year organizers expect more than 20,000.
Check in swimsuits will be held on 1 April. At arrival time participants should be dressed in a bathing suit, socks, sunglasses, boots and with their skis or snowboards.

Sign up to participate in setting the Guinness record can do so by March 1 at the festival site, by using the Facebook group or directly at the venue. For more information, readers should mail the organizers directly at: boogelwoogel@mail.ru
