Earlier this month, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts announced they will debut Angsana Corfu, the chain’s first Greece resort. Scheduled to welcome its first guest in September, Angsana Corfu will offer uncompromising luxury overlooking the Ionian Sea.
Situated near the village of Benitses, perched on a cliff edge overlooking the brilliant Ionian Sea, Angsana Corfu will feature 199 rooms comprised of grand rooms, junior suites, and private pool villas.
The resort will be tuned to culinary bliss and will feature five restaurants and six lounges. The resort’s Botrini’s will present the gastronomy of renowned Michelin-star chef Ettore Botrini and serve Mediterranean-style cuisine.
Other Angasana venues will plate Greek favorites and Ruen Romsai with an international menu. A juice bar will serve fresh juices, fruit, Greek yogurt and energy smoothies.
The Angsana Corfu Spa will pamper guests with the best of Indonesian-style hospitality at an on site retreat featuring 16 treatments rooms, and 5 outdoor spa pavilions. The spa team will provide a fusion of contemporary western techniques and the art of authentic Asian wellness, with the added spark of traditional Greek ‘philoxenia’, meaning ‘generosity of spirit and kindness to strangers’.
Among the other features of the resort, Angsana Family has been designed to provide quality time with loved ones through an exciting selection of fun-filled activities for couples and children is on offer all year long. An adventurous programme can be found at the Kids Club (suitable for ages 4-12), whilst the dedicated Kids Pool is perfect for introducing little ones to the thrill of summertime swimming. Meanwhile, Angsana Corfu’s private beach is well-stocked with umbrellas, sun beds and beach towels, and boasts both sandy and pebbled sections as well as warm, shallow waters, ideal for family fun under the sun.
