According to the announcement from Amadeus, this new stand-alone solution will be able to connect users via smart devices such as iPhone, Blackberry, and Android and Windows platforms. Utilizing advanced messaging technology and standard SMS, the service will also carry features to support TMC workflows, itinerary locking, automated communication and travel simulation capabilities as well. TMCs and corporations will therefore be able to help travelers better and manage productivity as well. Derek S. Beveridge, CEO Charter Solutions International had this to say about the deal:

We are privileged that Amadeus has chosen our patent pending platform for travel disruption management and sophisticated pre-trip visualisation. Amadeus Mobile Messenger, a part of the company’s corporate travel management solution, is used by some 6,000 plus corporations in 59 markets around the world. Having just announced their release of Amadeus e-Travel Management (AeTM), the global distribution company appears to be striking out headlong into the mobile booking and service space. News of Amadeus e-Travel Management Mobile (video above), beta testing in Scandinavia, among other announcements, shows at least that Amadeus has identified the coming trend. As to the Charter deal, Albert Pozo, VP Global Customer Group, Amadeus, offered this as well:
