airBaltic Adds Value to Five Ticket Types

Aiming to offer more personalized and convenient travel for customers, airBaltic announced it improved five ticket types: Basic, Economy Smart, Economy Elite, Business Smart, Business Elite, each of these types including now a gradually increasing amount of service.

“airBaltic offers multiple a la carte products to travellers from flights, to meals onboard, advance seat reservation, checked-in baggage service, travel date and time change, and many more. More than a year ago, we simplified our offering and grouped these products under five ticket types, so that customers can choose more personalised travel with airBaltic. Considering our customer feedback, we are making further improvements to our service. We now offer Business class service througout our network, including shorter regional flights. Furthermore, we have improved our all-inclusive flexible tickets to offer a better Business Elite and Economy Elite service,” explained Michael Grimme, Chief Commercial Officer.

Budget travelers can find the lowest price in the Basic ticket option with various features available for purchase on the Latvian airline’s official website. The Economy Smart tickets benefit from a checked-in bag free of charge, while the Economy Elite allows adjusting travel plans without limitations, full ticket refund at any time, and an Elite meal.

Business travelers restricted to fly in Business Elite or Business Smart class can opt for the Economy Elite ticket. Logically, the top version, Business Elite tickets, includes the widest area of features, providing flexibility and premium services.

airBaltic serves 60 destinations and offers connections for Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East from its hub in Riga, Latvia. The company announced that in August 2013 it carried 296 345 passengers throughout its network, and in the first 8 months of 2013 airBaltic has transported a total of 1,958,752 passengers across its network.
