What are you looking for when you book a hotel? Hotels.com, for the second year in a row, has published a survey on what travellers are looking for when they choose a hotel.
The number one spot for hotel room musts? Free WiFi.
Free WiFi also ranked 3rd in importance for hotel amenities too, right behind on-site restaurant and complimentary breakfast.
For in-room amenities, free WiFi/Internet was followed by shower-equipped bathrooms and room size.

The respondents, all of whom had a trip planned within the next six months, were given a list of 33 different amenities and asked to rank them in order of importance. A total of 1,000 travellers from around the world participated in the survey,which was conducted in December, 2013.
Although a third of the respondents were business travellers, typical business needs like meeting rooms and conference centres were at the bottom of the amenities list.
Hotels.com is an accommodation booking website with a choice of over 260,000 properties around the world available through its site. They conducted a Twitter chat on April 16 at 3 p.m. EST so you can still weigh in with your must-have hotel amenities using the hashtag #myfavethings.
