Later this month, March 22 onwards that is, Latvians will be able to visit the United Arab Emirates without visa restrictions. This, according to the Foreign Ministry’s Press and Information Division.
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Belgium was informed by the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Latvia to the EU, of the reciprocal parity agreement, the United Arab Emirates having abolished visa requirements for the citizens of Latvia. According to the news release, holders of non-citizen passports of Latvia can receive detailed information on the required documents they’ll need to apply.
Back in February the State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Latvia, Andrejs Pildegovičs, met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Latvia Jumaa Mubarak Al Junaibi, in an accreditation visit by the latter.
